Introversion Software

Mission

To be free to explore, challenge perceptions and push boundaries through the release of outstanding video games.

Studio profile

Introversion Software is one of the UK's most-respected independent game developers and publishers. Founded in March 2001 by three university students, and starting out with an initial “beer fund”, Introversion has gone on to produce four critically acclaimed titles; Uplink, Darwinia, DEFCON and most recently, Multiwinia. Now 10 men strong, Introversion was also pretty excited to learn PC Gamer UK voted it as among its “Top 50 Most Influential Games Companies in the World” list.

Developer Bios

Mark Morris – Managing Director
Our overall managing director at Introversion, Mark rules the “IV” roost with an iron fist and is responsible for the smooth day-to-day running and operation of Introversion. He makes sure we run on schedule and don’t spend too long in the pub during lunch. His favorite game is Portal and his favorite gaming memory is of Half-life 2 when he first realized how to kill a zombie with a gravity gun and a buzz saw blade!

Chris Delay – Creative Director
Representing the rebellious, creative force at Introversion, Chris ensures that we don’t get seduced by the bright flashing lights of the sort we saw at E3, so many moons ago. He has also been the creative lead on all of our titles so far. His favorite game is Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and his jaw dropped when he stepped out from the local village into the big wide world, the camera pulled back and he suddenly grasped the size of scope of the world the Nintendo developers had created.

Thomas Arundel – Financial Director
Tom’s in charge of new business and the commercialisation of our games. He also makes sure we don’t get sued or run out of money (except that one time when we burnt all our money at E3 on fast cars and speed boats). His favorite game is Crackdown and his favorite gaming memory realizing that you can pick up cars and throw them at people!

John Knottenbelt – Technical Director
As Introversion’s resident technical genius, John helps solve mind-boggling problems at the same time as managing complex projects such as our recent launch of Multiwinia and our upcoming port of Darwinia+ to Xbox LIVE Arcade. Now that’s multi-tasking! His favorite game is Reset Generation and his favorite gaming moment is when Level 50 Elf becomes Level 51 Elf. ;)

Multiwinia
Start your very own super-war with Multiwinia. Play fast, furious and fun games of stick man conquest where only the flattest will survive!
